the 4th global digital trade expo will be held from sept 25 to 29 in hangzhou, capital of east china's zhejiang province — with this year's event coinciding with local school autumn breaks and featuring family-friendly highlights across expanded display zones.
at the themed pavilion, star vision's digital lunar experience stands out, where visitors can don spacesuits, interact with lunar ai robots and record wishes for the global digital trade constellation 2035.
some of these micro-wishes may even be carried to the far side of the moon with china's chang'e-8 lunar mission launching around 2029.
the ai pavilion has doubled in size this year, bringing together over 300 companies and some 80 robots, from the world's fastest quadruped robot to humanoids styled after chinese legends.
live shows include robot bands, industrial robot competitions and robot dog obstacle races.
in the smart mobility zone, children can experience drone soccer, flight simulators and light aircraft models. star exhibits include a single-seat ultralight flying vehicle and tesla's assisted driving test rides.
the digital entertainment pavilion, now occupying an entire hall, highlights the integration of culture and technology — from ai interactive dinosaurs and holographic characters to playable replicas of ancient musical instruments. chinese web literature, short dramas and gaming firms will also showcase their global reach, with demos of titles like black myth: zhong kui.
for the first time, a dedicated ai-generated content center will display over 50 ai applications across fields from health to e-commerce — underlining the expo's stronger ai focus this year.
