the ongoing 4th global digital trade expo hosted a major project signing ceremony on sept 25, with 45 deals totaling 64.87 billion yuan ($9.09 billion).
the projects — spanning the digital economy, ai, smart manufacturing, new energy, fintech and logistics — are set to inject momentum into zhejiang province's industrial upgrading and high-quality growth.
highlights include: a large-model application project in wenzhou city to drive digital health innovation; a $200-million energy storage base in jiaxing city to boost the new energy sector; and a semiconductor equipment project in quzhou city targeting high-end manufacturing.
precision parts maker gaotuo signed a 1-billion-yuan motor core and production line project in huzhou city, marking its first zhejiang investment and aiming to expand overseas markets via the expo platform.
several agreements also highlight global cooperation. a yiwu city-indonesia trade hub project, for instance, will deepen bilateral economic ties — aligning with indonesia's role as guest country of honor and its strong interest in digitalization and new capital development.
according to zhejiang's commerce department, the deals reflect confidence in the province's business climate and innovation-driven growth.
